GONZAGA'S SPIRITUAL HEART
Connection To Home

The Grotto
The Mother Mary Grotto, adjacent to the University Chapel, is a quiet gathering place in the center of campus for reflection. Originally created in 1951, the new grotto was dedicated in 2012.
The Mother Mary Grotto and St. Aloysius Church make up the spiritual heart of Gonzaga University. The grotto, situated adjacent to the church, is often the site of student gatherings at times of mourning or contemplation. The church is home to the St. Aloysius Parish, which worships in the Jesuit tradition.
Our Project, The Heart of the Campus

The magnificent stained glass windows of the church add beauty, warmth and comfort.
